  • How do the courses work?

    In our courses you will:

    • Watch online videos of Brené teaching courage building skills.
    • Integrate ideas into practice through written exercises.
    • Take an optional online quiz after each section to check for understanding and determine any areas to go back and review.
    • Work though the online content at your own pace.
    • Complete an online self-assessment survey at course completion that helps learners understand areas of strength and opportunities for improvement.
  • What is included in the Brave Leader Access Pass?

    The Brave Leader Access Pass explores The Four Pillars of Courage: Vulnerability, Clarity of Values, Trust, and Rising Skills.  Your purchase provides 24 months of access to our foundational six-lesson course, Daring Leadership: The Four Pillars of Courage, and 10 one-hour Courage Deep Dives that explore specific topics related to courage building.

  • What is included in Brave Leader Recognized?

    After completing all the material included in the Brave Leader Access Pass, the Brave Leader Recognized program offers the option to take a final exam and complete a rigorous self-evaluation related to the key concepts and new skills you have learned. Upon successful completion of both, you will earn the Brave Leader Recognized badge and status.  This status will also allow you to participate and contribute in special Q&A sessions/events reserved only for those with this recognition.

  • How can I bring this work into my organization?

    Experience has taught us that there’s nothing more powerful than taking these courses with colleagues, teams and within organizations. Connection and conversation leads to embedded learning. Here are the guidelines:

    • All participating individuals must have their own license for the course.
    • Teams can gather to share the work, learn in teams, and convene in dialogue with other colleagues going through the course.
    • Course purchasing can be done individually or through a single purchase of multiple licenses for the class; license redemption codes can then be distributed to colleagues, teams, small groups, etc. for non-commercial purposes.

    Please note:

    • All Brave Leaders Inc courses are designed to be self-directed, with no consulting, facilitation, or coaching required.
    • We do not permit use of Brave Leaders Inc courses for financial gain or commercial purposes, including charging fees, public marketing of the course or sessions about the course, or promoting oneself as a facilitator of the work.
    • We do not allow the reselling of licenses.

  • Are CEU’s available?

    Continuing Education credits vary across professions. At the completion of Brave Leader Recognized, you will receive a certificate of completion often suitable for professional development or school district CEUs and recertification needs.

  • I have already purchased a course. How do I sign in and access my course?

    Click on the “Login” link in the top right corner of your browser. Enter your email address and password to login. If you forgot your password, click on “Forgot Username/Password” in the login area.

    Once you login, click on My Account and then the Course Dashboard button. You will be redirected to your dashboard. From here you can see all available courses.

  • Do I have to be online at a specific time?

    Your online courses are available around the clock, which means that you can sign in at any time, day or night, and take your course.  We will have occasional live-streamed Q&As with Brené at a designated time (we’ll let you know when they’re scheduled), but these are recorded and posted in case you’re unable to attend during the live event.

  • How do I navigate inside the course?

    There are two forms of navigation in each course:

    1. Lessons: Every course has a menu/utility bar situated to the left of the content area. Click it to hide or expand the course content and utilities. In the content area, you can navigate to parts of the course and can view your progress.
    2. Next and previous buttons: Each course has “Next” and “Previous” buttons situated just above the content area. Each button will allow you to move forward and backward through the course pages.
  • How do I track my progress within the course?

    There are a couple of ways to track your progress within a course.

    One way is to login into your account. On your dashboard, under the “In Progress” tab, click on the arrow on the left-hand side of the course you wish to view your progress.

    You can also track your progress within the course. You will see a menu bar on the left-hand side of the screen. Under the “Lessons” tab, a checkmark will appear next to each completed exercise.

    In order for your progress to show 100% completion, you must have checkmarks next to each exercise within the course. Also, you will need to mark the course complete on the final lesson of the course.

  • Can I take notes in my course?

    There is a “Notes” utility available in every course which can be found in the left menu of the course.

  • How do I access or download course materials?

    You can access and download any documents made available for the course in the Resources tab found in the left menu of the course.  Exercise worksheets and other program guides are available for download.

  • Where can I find previous Q&A recordings?

    You can access and view previous Q&A recordings in the Resources tab found in the left menu of the course.

  • Can I download the course videos?

    Course videos are only available for viewing from within the Brave Leaders Inc courses.  Downloading is not available.

  • Where can I find the class discussion board?

    The online discussion forum is available below the video and exercise content of each lesson. To participate in a discussion thread, select the General section or the Lesson title. Then, click Start a new Discussion to post your thread or locate an existing thread to add a comment.

  • What is the site policy for group discussion?
    • You may not pretend that you are, or that you represent, someone else, or impersonate any other individual or entity.
    • You may not use this site for any abusive or illegal purpose.
    • You may not harm others in any way.
    • You may not use the site to perform any form of bullying, threatening, cyberstalking, intimidation, or any other type of harassment.
    • You may not post content that contains pornography, excessive violence, or is otherwise offensive, vulgar, explicit, or obscene.
    • You may not post email addresses, telephone numbers, physical addresses or other personal information for yourself or third parties.
    • You can post personal social media handles, links to Facebook groups or Google Groups, and links to other social platforms such as YouTube or TED.
    • You may not post in the group message board or any post attempting to buy and/or sell any item or service, including but not limited to clinical, therapy, or coaching services. Any such posts will be deleted.
    • You may not post links to other retail sites that sell similar products, these posts will also be deleted.
    • You may not post videos or photos to the group message board.
    • You may not post on the message board any post regarding or linking to any type of promotions, sales, or other offers from any company that provides similar services or sells similar products as those offered by Brave Leaders Inc.
    • You may not post comments that provide clinical, therapy, or coaching guidance. Comments should be supportive in nature, not therapeutic.
    • Any posts that do not meet these guidelines or go beyond the boundaries of appropriate sharing on an online learning platform will be hidden from view or deleted.
  • I forgot my password. How do I retrieve it?

    There is a link on all sign-in forms to help you recover your password. Just choose “Login” in the top right corner of the browser, click on “Forgot Username/Password.” You will then receive an email with further instructions to reset your password.

  • Can I take the courses on my iPad or tablet?

    Our courses were built to work on all iPads and tablets. Layouts, scrolling or displays may vary depending on your device.

  • Is internet access required?

    Yes, an internet connection is required to log in and view your online course. All courses offer a range of multimedia features, and we recommend that you have a good broadband or network connection for the optimal experience.

  • Can I take the course on my iPhone or smartphone?

    Yes, our courses are compatible with your smartphone.

  • What browsers are supported?

    We support the current and the previous major release of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Microsoft browsers. This currently includes Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer. Each time a new browser version is released, we begin supporting that version and stop supporting the third most recent version.

  • What forms of payment do you accept?

    We accept all major credit cards.  You may also request an invoice through the online purchase process.

  • International Orders

    All credit card transactions are charged in the currency displayed on the site.  Brave Leaders, Inc is a non-EU provider with no VAT registration. VAT will not be applied to your purchase.

  • How do I cancel a course?

    Please contact customer service for more information about canceling a course.

  • Workbook Set Return Policy

    We want you to love your Daring Leadership and Courage Deep Dives workbook set. If you are unhappy with your workbook, we’ll refund your purchase. To be eligible for a refund, the workbooks must be unused, in the same condition that you received it, and your refund request needs to be made within 10 days of delivery.

    You have two options for handling the return:

    • Contact us at bliteam@braveleadersinc.com and we will email you a return shipping label for your convenience, the cost of which will be deducted from your total refund.

    OR

    • You may choose to send your workbooks back using your own shipping and receive a full refund.

  • Defective or Damaged Workbooks

    If your product arrives defective or damaged, send us pictures of the damage within 10 days of your delivery and we will replace your item asap!
